Sometimes you just need to take a breath and stop

Sometimes you just need to take a breath and stop overthinking. If it’s meant to be then it will all work out for the best.

My oldest son was 5 months old when my husband and I got together. From the very start he considered my son his own.

5 years later my husband received the greatest fathers day present ever. A judge granted our adoption request. The son he always considered his own was legally his son and received his last name.

That was 8 years ago today. This day will always hold a special place in our heart.

This weekend we were finally let out of lockdown.

This weekend we were finally let out of lockdown. Feels like it had been forever since I stepped foot in a store.

My oldest son was desperate for new clothes. All of his shirts were looking like belly shirts and let me tell you, that is not a cute look for a 13 year old boy.

The first place we went was walmart. Trust me there was a method to my madness. Found out some walmart locations allow you to check in online. You show up at your check in time and a shopping you go. Surprisingly there was no line up at Walmart.

We then went to Giant Tiger where I found a really cute new workout top. Looking forward to wearing it and I got a new shirt for my youngest.

We didn't really do much more shopping. Our feet were sore and we had no interest in standing in lines. I figure give it a week and the lines will die down.

I was pleasantly surprised that even the lines I did see were not super long. Maybe it was just the areas I went to or maybe it was my city. The weather was gorgeous for patios instead of being inside a store.
