She is the sweetest dog and is obsessed with my husband. In fact she stole my spot in the bed last night cuddling with him.

We were so careful. We did everything they recommended. My mom, my oldest son and myself were fully vaccinated. My husband and my youngest son had their first dose and we waiting to be eligible for their second dose. Yet we still managed to get COVID.

Guilty! Music to my ears.

I was married to a Josh Duggar and had a child in that marriage.

He was “addicted” to porn. I set up my computer to be able to see his downloads to keep an eye on him as he was also unfaithful. One day when I was 6 months pregnant I went to check his recent downloads. I didn’t even open the files. The titles of his recent downloads were enough to let me know he was downloading CP.

I confronted him about it and his only defense was “It wasn’t even that, here I can show you the video”. I passed on seeing the video but I was sick to my stomach and had no idea what to do.

As we sat as a family at dinner time I was rudely awoken to my failure as not only a parent but as a military wife and a Canadian.

My youngest son told me he hated Remembrance day as why should we remember bad people. He had the wrong idea of what Remembrance day is about.

Remembrance Day is;
- Remembering all those who lost their lives protecting our freedom and way of life.
- Remembering all those who came back with demons who they battle every day or who lost their battle to the demons.
- Remembering all those who came back injured and disabled.

Remembrance day is not about bad people. It is about honoring the sacrifice of all those who put themselves in harms way to stand up to those bad people.

The veterans we grew up with are almost all gone. Society does not seem to view our current day veterans as veterans but they are. We must all do our part to make sure our children always remember and are thankful to those past, present and future who defend us.
